2017 Vancouver Island Music Awards. The CD "Permanent Frequency" was produced, engineered and mixed

Spaceport Union's song "White Noise" won awards for Rock Song Of The Year
and Video Of The Year at the 2015/16 Vancouver Island Music Awards.
•Ed Roman's latest CD "Letters from High Latitudes" hit #1 on the Roots Music Report's Top 50 World Album Chart on March 11, 2015.
Traveled to Victoria B.C. in June to start pre-production with Spaceport Union for their next CD release.
• Mixed a remake of the song "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" currently being used for a new national TELUS TV commercial.
• Nov 16, 2013. Three Jim Brickman CDs (mixed by Michael Jack) are on the U.S. Billboard charts .
"The Magic of Christmas" is #5, "Love 2" is at #6 and "Believe" is #7.
• Congratulations to Victoria B.C. band Spaceport Union for winning song of the year at the
Vancouver Island Music Awards on April 28. The song "Fueled By Consequence" is off their CD
"Flirting With The Queen" (produced, engineered and mixed by Michael Jack)
• The CD "Best Day" by Dala (engineered and mixed by Michael Jack) has been selected as a finalist for the
Indie Acoustic Project's "Best CDs of 2012 Awards"
• The song "State Of The Union" by Scott Donnelly (produced, engineered and mixed by Michael Jack) has been getting
some chart action in Canada this winter including: #7 Canadian Indie Active Rock, #47 CanCon Active Rock song (2/16/2013)
#120 Mediabase Active Rock (2/17/2013) and MB/BDS charted 2 weeks (3/17/2013)
• Congratulations to Victoria B.C. band Spaceport Union. They just received a best song nomination for the 2013 Vancouver Island Music Awards
and singer Caroline Spence picked up a nomination for best vocalist. It was a privilege to be a part of
this project as producer and engineer.

• Completed the CD "Flirting With The Queen" for Victoria B.C. band Spaceport Union @ Phase One, Dynamic Drive and The Radio Room.

Dala and their producer Mike Roth received Canadian Folk Music Awards nominations for this CD.
• Mixed several songs for a Roy Orbison tribute project for Sony/ATV Publishing including songs performed by Hemingway Corner,
Dryer and Tom Wilson (Junkhouse) 2011.
• May 2011: Just returned from Victoria, B.C. where I worked with the band Spaceport Union (pre-production for their upcoming
CD recording) We will be recording bedtracks @ Phase One in August.
• The Song "Beautiful World - We're All Here" by Adam Crossley with Jim Brickman (recorded, edited and mixed by Michael Jack)
hit the top 10 on the Billboard AC chart. (week of Aug 26, 2009) . Peaked at #4 in December 2009.
• The song "Christmas Is" by Jim Brickman & Mark Masri (recorded, edited and mixed by Michael Jack)
reached #18 on Billboard's Hot AC chart during the winter of 2008 - 2009.
• Recorded and mixed the Dala CD "Everyone Is Someone" at Lenz Entertainment (Studio A) . It was named one of the top ten
folk albums of 2009 by NPR (National Public Radio) in the United States.
• Mixed Jim Brickman's TV special "Beautiful World" which aired across North America on PBS. Also mixed the Jim Brickman/Mark Masri
PBS Christmas show for a 2010 release.
• Mixed the Dala PBS television concert special "Girls From The North Country". Also released on DVD and CD.
Congratulations to Dala for winning vocal group of the year at the 2010 Canadian Folk Music Awards and for
being nominated as best Folk/Roots group of the year for the 2011 Juno Awards for this CD.
